Nepal Honey Hunting Tour, the collection of Honey from the nests of wild Bees built on steep cliffs is an age-old tradition. Local honey hunters show their exceptional skills by hanging themselves from cliffs as high as 300 meters using Bamboo ladders and hemp ropes, while harvesting the honeycombs. Everyone is thrilled to watch honey hunters at work. One has to trek in the foothills of the Annapurna to see the spectacular honey hunting on the steep bee cliffs.

So come and be part of honey hunting tour and watch the Hunters how they Hang by the cliff with the help of locally made rope and ladder collecting honey from the world’s largest honeybees and how they use smoke to disperse the bees, and then poke the hive with one stick and collects the chunk in the basket balancing with another stick. This Kind of activity needs great courage and balance to work while dangled hundreds of feet above the ground. It will be an unforgettable adventure to see and learn and watch the preparation they take for such hunting and impart in it.

Arrival at Kathmandu. Pick up by one our representative from airport and help you to check in to your designated Hotel and brief you about the tour. Evening free to stroll around the city.

Drive from Kathmandu to Khudi - 6 hrs

Today after having breakfast you will drive for your honey hunting tour. After 4 hours drive from Kathmandu you will arrive at Vimal Nagar where you can visit Siddha cave (the biggest cave in Asia). Then from here, after driving about more 3hrs you will reach Khudi village. You’ll be heartily welcomed by the villagers. At evening have a slide show program about the bee hunting.

After breakfast start the trek from Khudi to Ghalegaun 2,095m /7 hrs.

This is the point from where you start trek for Honey hunting village site. Today you trek for six to seven hours for Honey Hunting site. On the way, you view many natural scenes on the way.

Trek from Ghalegaun to Ghanpokhara (2,157m.) which takes about half hour.

You hike from Ghalegaun to Ghanpokhara. You can enjoy the view of sunrise and surrounding mountains as Mt. Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. You can experience the village tour. Ghanpokhara is about 100m above Ghalegaun.

Trek from Ghanpokhara to Khudi and it takes about 5 hours. This day you can see waterfall and cave. You can also visit construction site of Khudi Hydro Electricity Project. On the way, the stream invites you to swim at natural swimming pool. You go evening walk at Bank of the Marshyangdi River and Khudi stream.

Drive from Khudi to Kathmandu (6hr)

Transfer to your hotel and spend your leisurely time. Overnight at Hotel.Evening Thamel walk the famous Tourist Hub.
